• Assists the well operator in rigging up and rigging down, pulling or laying down rods, tubing, and casing, and transporting drilling rigs and service equipment. • Manipulates pipe or drill stem sections on the rig floor during drilling and the removal and replacement of strings. • Services oil and gas wells and maintains drilling equipment on the drill floor. • Handles and sorts drill tools; cleans and maintains the drill rig area. • Operating a pipe wrench, alone or together with the other members of the crew, • Keep rig floor clean and organized • Following instructions from the operator and/or the Derrickman • Providing the physical strength to lift, carry, move, slide, transfer, push, pull or drag pieces of equipment on and around the service rig and equipment • Performing maintenance to the service rig equipment as requested • Locating and delivering any piece of equipment that the senior workers require, and helping wherever else needed. • Assist in setting up, taking down and transporting drilling and service rigs and service equipment • Drive trucks to transport materials and well service equipment • Handle, sort and move drill pipes, tools, cement and other materials • Manipulate sections of pipes or drill stems at rig floor during drilling and during removal and replacement of pipes, drill stems and drill bits
